The challenge

During the COVID-19 pandemic, restaurants needed a contactless ordering solution to safely serve customers while maintaining social distancing protocols.

The approach

Developed Feazy as a comprehensive QR-based food ordering platform with mobile app for customers and web portals for restaurant management.

What I built

  1. 01Built a React Native mobile app for seamless customer ordering
  2. 02Created React-based admin portals for restaurants and platform management
  3. 03Implemented Firebase for real-time order tracking and database
  4. 04Integrated Paytm payment gateway for secure transactions
  5. 05Developed QR code generation and scanning system

Outcome

Successfully onboarded paying customers and helped restaurants maintain operations during COVID-19. The platform processed hundreds of contactless orders before facing market competition from Zomato.

What I learned

This project provided valuable insights into startup operations, market competition, and building scalable food-tech solutions. Despite eventual closure due to market conditions, it demonstrated the importance of timing and market positioning in startup success.
